The Public Works Director announced today that weather permitting, beginning at
7:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2006, the west southbound lane of North Central
Avenue between Jefferson and Valley and the eastbound lane of Jefferson Street
for fifty-feet west of North Central will be closed to through traffic.  Two-way
traffic on Jefferson Street west of North Central will be controlled by cones
and signs.

He further announced that on street parking is prohibited on the north side of
Jefferson Street for fifty-feet west of North Central Avenue.

The lane closures and restrictions are required to create a safe work zone for
utility repairs.

The work is expected to take ten to fourteen days.
