The Public Works Director announced today that weather permitting, between the
hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2006 and Wednesday, May 3,
2006, portions of Kirkwood Street between U.S. 61(Roosevelt Avenue) and Belmont
Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic controlled by flag persons.

The temporary lane restrictions and closures are required to permit contractors
to accomplish street surface grinding.

Motorists are cautioned to be alert to heavy equipment movement and to
anticipate delays.
