The Public Works Director announced today that weather permitting, beginning at
8:00 a.m., Monday, July 31, 2006, the City’s contractor will begin the 2006
Sealcoat Project.  The project will begin on Central Avenue between Harrison and
Angular, then Valley Street between North Central and North 7th and North 5th to
North Main Street.  Then North Street between North Central Avenue to North 6th
Street.

Through traffic will be maintained but on street parking will be prohibited
during the cleaning and resurfacing operations.  Motorists are cautioned to be
aware of heavy equipment operations and contractor personnel in the work zones.

The work is expected to take ten days.
