[Burlington-news] Construction Update

The Public Works Director announced today that weather permitting, beginning at
7:00 a.m., Monday, July 24, 2006; work will begin on the first phase of the 2006
Sunnyside Avenue HMA Resurfacing Project.  This will involve removal of the
asphalt surface between Osborn Street and Golf Lane resulting in frequent lane
closures, delays and detours.  This portion is expected to take two days.  Work
will then begin on the north side consisting of curb and gutter replacement. 
Traffic will then be reduced to one lane each way controlled by signs and cones.

Motorists are cautioned to be alert to heavy equipment movement and anticipate
delays.
