The City of Burlington, Public Works Director announced today that weather
permitting, between 8:00 a.m. and noon, Monday, July 17, 2006 the westbond lanes
of Mt. Pleasant Street at 2759 Mt. Pleasant (The Grand Orleans) will be closed
and traffic reduced to one lane each way controlled by signs and cones.
Beginning at noon and for the next three to five days, westbound traffic will be
reduced to one lane.

The lane closures and detour are required to allow Waterworks crews to repair a
leaking water service.  Motorists are cautioned to be alert to heavy equipment
movement.

The work is expected to take three to five days.
