The Public Works Director announced today that weather permitting, beginning,
Monday, August 8, 2005, and for the next thirty days, the City’s contractor will
progress with the 2005 Osborn Street Resurfacing Project.  This involves Osborn
Street between North Central Avenue and Sunnyside Avenue.  This will result in
temporary street closures and/or lane restrictions.

The closures and restrictions are required to permit the removal of the old
asphalt surface and the cleaning and repair of the street surface prior to
asphalt overlay.

He further announced that once work begins there will be no parking on the
street within the construction zone until the street surface is restored. 
Motorists should be cautious of uneven surfaces and barricades along the length
of the project.

The work is expected to take thirty days.
